Weekend away - where to go??

It's my 10th wedding anniversary This week. Have childcare arranged for the weekend (from tomorrow) but can't work out what to do!!

We live in South East London. 2 nights away. Max 2 hours drive. Coastal or countryside preferred. Any ideas?

Just off on school run, Hope to have a reply or two when I get back!

The New Forest? It's beautiful at this time of year. There are some lovely hotels, such as Carey's Manor, and you can easily drive to the coast for a bracing walk or have a wander around quaint towns like Lymington if you like boats and cosy pubs

Echo the New Forest. The Pig in Brokenhurst is great for special occasions (either to stay or for a meal).
