Can adhesions form over a year after csection?

I had two csections within 18 months of each other. The first one was awful and I had a really bad infection that wasn’t treated swiftly or effectively and they found that I had very bad adhesions when they opened me up for csection 2. I had pulling pain and aches inside etc afterwards but assumed they were pregnancy related.

They cleaned me up after csection 2 and advised that I shouldn’t have any more children.

I have had no pain at all and thought that was the end of it, what they removed during csection 2 was enough to stop the pain and that would be that. Except now, over a year later, the scar aches again? Could it be that I am getting feeling back (whole lower stomach area has been numb since csection 1)

Is it my periods getting back to normal or should I consider going to the doctor about adhesions? There’s not much they can do anyway is there, even if it is?

Any advice welcome.
