Cleaner on holiday ..........

So I have a cleaner. 2 hours every week and she comes in mid morning on my day off. No complaints and wish I'd done it earlier.

All good BUT she is on holiday for 2 weeks and I have been so LAZY.....is it just me or does anyone else turn into a sloth?

I got up late. My house would be tidy ready for her by now but it's still a bit of a tip. (I will tidy, pick up my clothes etc and dust ...I will, I will)

It's so relaxed and I never realised the 'pressure' and I say that really lightheartedly, of the cleaner coming.

Anyone else feel like this or am I just a slob

Totally agree. When my cleaner goes on holiday I slob out and then exhaust myself having a blitz tidy the day before she is due back

My cleaner is about to arrive and what have I done? Felt the pressure so much that I've done a bit of cleaning... Argh

I think it is part of what I like about having a cleaner, it forces me to crack on and tidy TODAY rather than procastinating.

My DH is trying to encourage me to get a cleaner, this thread isn’t helping warm to the idea...

Haha glad it’s not just me. I have now got off my backside & done the bathrooms.

Nona - it is the best thing - honestly. It does make me pick up clothes and generally we all tidy up each week so she can come in and dust/hoover/clean. Just having the basic clean through done every week is such a huge help. I wish I’d done it sooner.
