Help! I desperately need a new credit/debit/prepaid card - How?

I've just had ALL my cards stolen, and I'm travelling on Tuesday.

None can be replaced officially in time.

What can I do?? Is there a prepaid card I can get from somewhere by then? I need to be able to take about £1000 abroad.

Sorry no idea about cards and someone may help with that but failing that, if In the uk I think you can still get travellers cheques at the post office- I think.

Are you anywhere near a Metro bank? They can set up accounts and issue cards same day.

Any bureau de change can get you a prepaid card.

Metro print cards at account opening appointment.

oh amazing! yes, near a metro bank, will do that.

local bureau de change said they needed to post it (some sort of address checking regulations).

THANK YOU!!

Another vote for Monzo. I applied for one as an emergency backup card and it came the next day. Very impressed and you can control auth features in the app.

Have a look at Revolut. My friend travelled to her sister in the States for a week recently and she used this. She found it very good.

Post Office do a debit card, not sure of the money limit. But you could go in tomorrow and set one up, if you can pay by cash or cheque. Cheques can clear in a day now.

You can
Also use Travelex

where I'm going apps etc. don't work - but Metro Bank looks like it'll do exactly what I need. The issue with the places I'd found myself (like post office/local travel bureau) was that they needed to post a card, and time's too short.
Thank you all!
