Has anyone tried period pants?

I keep seeing them advertised. I’m so sick of sanitary towels, tampons don’t work as I’m too heavy. I’m intrigued.

you could try a menstrual cup. you can leave them in for up to 12 hours.

i personally don't like the idea of period pants (i think i'm just being silly) but i would sort of imagine it to be like i forgot to wear a tampon?

all the best

No but posting as I also wanted to ask about this!

I think the idea is that you wear them with your usual protection ( leak insurance )

Seema a bit too much like free-bleeding to me Confused
Is it instead of pads/tampons?

I have. I don’t wear them as a backup but mine is very light anyway so I couldn’t say how they’d hold up to a really heavy flow. I’ve never leaked with them and they just kind of magically absorb it. I feel dry and there isn’t any weird smell or anything. Might be worth a try even as a back up for leaking tampons?

I don’t much like the period pants as they go right up the back instead of just the gusset (if you see what mean). For this reason I use the wee pants instead as they are only slightly thicker at gusset, but feel like regular pants. They don’t smell at all, I use them as back up to tampons.
