Has anyone seen Kylie Minogue in concert

We have two tickets to see Kylie tomorrow. We didn't pay for them and dh is keen to go.
She is very near the bottom of my list of people I'd like to see.
The thought of traveling up to London and all the faff involved is making me feel very meh.
I've told dh to take someone else but he really wants us to go together.
Can anyone tell me she will be surprisingly entertaining and I won't feel that I've wasted an evening.
On the bright side there is a Wimpy at Morden where we will leave the car and I do love a Wimpy. That could almost make the journey worthwhile.

Colleagues went last night and said it was brilliant. Go!

Kezzie200 · 27/09/2018 17:18

Sometimes going out of your comfort zone pays off. I hated the thought of Disney... Until I went.

AHintOfStyle · 27/09/2018 17:22

The reviews of her recent shows are really good.

Jjacobb · 27/09/2018 18:27

That's good to know, maybe I will be pleasantly surprised.

Yes, she was amazing!

Notthisnotthat · 27/09/2018 18:35

I went along with a friend who is a massive fan. I hadn't really listened to her since locomotion but I had a great night, it was an amazing show.

Rockbird · 27/09/2018 18:42

I saw her a few years back. Knew her greatest hits but nothing else and still had a great time. She does put on a good show.

Yes, I saw her quite a few years ago - she was brilliant, do go.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 27/09/2018 18:44

Show reviews are amazing!

Alternatively, I’ll go with your DH! Grin

PastaRedWine · 27/09/2018 18:44

I have! She was great!!

PiperPublickOccurrences · 27/09/2018 18:44

I have - well sort of. I volunteered in media at the 2014 commonwealth games and managed to swing a ticket in the press seats for the closing ceremony. Best seats in the house. Kylie performed along with a few other acts. She was great - teeny tiny but the atmosphere was great and she put on a good show.

DevonshireCreamTea · 27/09/2018 18:55

I went with a friend OP and honestly wasn't looking forward to it at all not my cup of tea. Until I saw her perform and she was fab I am no a Kylie fan for sure !! Hopefully you will be surprised as I was. It was a real "show" so to speak.

paddler78 · 27/09/2018 18:59

Saw her a long time ago before her battle with cancer and she was amazing one of the best concerts I have ever been to Smile

ConsiderHerWaysAndOthers · 27/09/2018 19:02

Saw her at one of those summertime ball type things years ago. She unfortunately had some technical issues where she couldn’t hear backing track and tried to plow on but bless her it was AWFUL as she was so out of time. I’m not a fan but would probably go if it was free, I’ve seen loads of bands that way (cousin used to get a lot of free tickets to stuff and pass them on) and I’ve never once felt like I’d wasted my evening. Wimpy on the other hand?! I had no idea they still existed.

Jjacobb · 27/09/2018 19:49

I'm feeling quite excited now Smile

I love a Wimpy. There are very few around these days.
We always park at Morden and get a tube into London. Mainly so I can get my Wimpy fix.

Yes, she's superb. I know a couple people who were not fans till they saw her live at Hyde Park, now they luffs her as I do!

Please report back.

TheSassyAssassin · 27/09/2018 19:56

Saw her a while ago and she was awesome! Fab show and really good fun. You'll have a blast Jjacobb. Enjoy Smile

SinglePringle · 27/09/2018 20:04

Kylie is nothing if not a Show Girl.

She’s been selling out concerts worldwide for 20-odd years. She knows how to do it!

Hope you have / had a fabulous time.

Hogtini · 27/09/2018 20:06

Yes and it was amazing!

chocolateworshipper · 27/09/2018 21:49

I was in a similar position years ago - DH was much keener to see her than me, but my goodness that tiny woman knows how to put on a show. Have a great time!

HildaZelda · 27/09/2018 21:55

Can I go in your place so? I love her. First cassette tape I ever bough was Kylie's "Enjoy Yourself". I was about 8. 30+ years later and I still think she's great.

Awks · 27/09/2018 22:07

Dd went to the opening night of this tour - she's not a fan really, she went as a guest but said it was fabulous and really enjoyed it. Hope you have a golden evening 😬

MayFayner · 27/09/2018 22:09

More like 30 odd. I saw her... I think it was 1987 Blush

Skinnydecafflatte · 27/09/2018 23:25

Just on my way home from the show now. Friends had spare tickets, wouldn’t have got one myself. Honestly she was fantastic, great atmosphere. Go!!!

user1471432735 · 28/09/2018 07:55

She might not be the best singer in the world, but she knows how to put on a show. I’ve seen he about 7 times in the last 25 years, have always enjoyed myself very much
