Posting here as the SEN boards tend to be quiet.
DD is almost 11. She has learning difficulties which affect her ability to process & remember information as well as communication difficulties.
I need to talk to her about periods. She relies on visual guides for her learning so I need to find a good book about puberty. At the moment I can only find things which go too far (Babette Cole is unsuitable) or seem to be from the 1980s in presentation. Most of the latter are for SEND.
She doesn’t at this point need to know about sex or reproduction unless it’s at a very, very basic level.
Any recommendations would be brilliant please and thank you
