WTF? £18 for this?

Is it just me being terminally unfashionable, or is this belt a total ASOS fail? Is it April 1st? Did they mean to put 18p?

😱

£18 for the torn waistband from a pair of jeans!!?

DolorestheNewt · 27/09/2018 13:37

I was kind of hoping someone would come on and point out that I'd misunderstood something. But I don't think I have.

I'm so confused. What is it?? What does it do? Why? Just, why?

Blonk · 27/09/2018 13:42

It's not a belt, it's a 'waistband'. Grin

Leeds2 · 27/09/2018 14:08

You get free postage & packing though!

ConfusedMum82 · 27/09/2018 14:12

I gave up with ASOS about 5 years ago. I bought a top on there that was a size 16, when it arrived it was nothing like a size 16. I borrowed a size 10 from my SIL of a similar shape top and it was the same size.

Whitelisbon · 27/09/2018 14:12

You could get 2 for that price in Primark, and they come with the rest of the jeans for free Wink

TaggieRR · 27/09/2018 14:18

Weird!

flumpybear · 27/09/2018 14:20

Maybe it's to help disguise the rest of the bloody awful outfit?!

Clawdy · 27/09/2018 14:21

ShockShock

IhatetheArchers · 27/09/2018 14:25

Please could someone buy it (obviously this someone won't be me) to wear to work, and come back to tell us your colleagues reactions.

Nubbled · 27/09/2018 15:01

Bloody Nora! I'd love to know if someone actually bought one.

ToadOfSadness · 27/09/2018 15:11

You could get a bagful of those from a charity shop with the rest of the jeans/shorts attached. But why would you want to?

DieAntword · 27/09/2018 15:13

The thing I’m wondering is why they just stuck it over a pair of trousers. If they’d used it to clinch a waist on a loose fitting single colour dress it would have served some visual and physical purpose.

DolorestheNewt · 27/09/2018 15:14

Nubbled I'm really tempted to email ASOS and ask them if they've had any orders. Do you think someone was working out their notice and sneaked it onto the website as a joke? Or perhaps they've been fired but their access privileges haven't been revoked yet?

Who thinks up these shit designs....

I fail to see how any of these 3 outfits are fashionable.... It's like they fell into the magical mystery tub in the charity shop and walked out wearing it's contents....

WTF? £18 for this?
cjt110 · 27/09/2018 15:30

Shit, missed photo 2 from my post

WTF? £18 for this?
EnidButton · 27/09/2018 15:36

Limited edition though guys!

I have two pairs of jeans waiting to go to the clothing recycling bin, I'll do you two belts for a tenner.

HildaZelda · 27/09/2018 16:11

Has anyone seen the emperor? His belt is ready.

Goingonandonandon · 27/09/2018 16:15

That 'belt' made my day. I needed a cheer up.

Nubbled · 27/09/2018 18:43

Please do Dolores and let us know what they say. Strongly suspect you are right about a disgruntled employee. It must be a joke.

I hope.

sarcasticllama · 27/09/2018 19:08

I think this wins the 'Silly Idea' award today.
