How will Netflix improve my life, given that....

I am not a huge movie/ series / boxset watcher (as much as anything, I don't like being negatively emotionally manipulated...)-

Regard me as a 50+ troglodyte with mild 'cultural, leanings.

How should I use Netflix?

Honestly I doubt it will improve your life in any way shape or form.

I just use it to watch series everyone watched years ago that I missed/didn't fancy watching at the time. (mainly cos I was annoyed that all everyone was talking about was breaking bad/sons of anarchy/insert series here, and didn't want to be a sheep)

There are some fascinating documentaries if you're into that kinda thing. Some good older series, not a bad film selection. However my main reason for having it is for the kids stuff. I like that I can lock it to under 12 rating for the 7 year old.

Ok, I do admit that I thought there might be more to it seeing as everyone raves about Netflix!

If you don't watch films or boxsets then it won't add anything to your life.

There are a few documentaries on Netflix, Making a Murderer being one of their most famous.
Beyond those though it's all films and TV shows.

I don't get the hype with Netflix but then I'm not into films - well not main stream stuff. I have found some interesting docu's on there and an odd off the wall film. DP and I only got it to watch Breaking Bad 3/4 yrs ago ( enjoyed that boxset ). Again I'm meh about films.

I quite like some of the random documentaries squirrelled away on there, or really really ancient Louis Theroux stuff... things like that. I can't focus on many films or box sets as a general rule but I do generally find something to watch. Friends is my mindless thing to shove on as well - I tend to veer toward their comedies sometimes (or the IT Crowd, Thick of It - that kind of stuff).

I am not a huge movie/ series / boxset watcher

Neither was I, till I got a 1 month free netflix trial and binge watched Breaking Bad.
