That's it really. I work full tome I have a 5 and8 year old. I seem to be more tired that ever. Dad contact has evaporated so no opportunities to go to the gym any more.

I need back to basics advice on increasing energy please xxx

Eat lots of green vegetables. Eat lots of other vegetables. Give up caffeine. Become vegan. Have things in your day which are fun. Have a passion. Stay young.

Not sure how becoming vegan will help with exhaustion?

Get plenty of sleep. Balanced diet. Home YouTube workouts for exercise. Get out in fresh air everyday.

Messy - I went from being vegetarian to vegan and within a couple of days I felt much better and had lots more energy. I used to fall asleep before 10pm, now I'm still awake at midnight. It made a huge difference to me because I'm eating very healthy food all the time. It doesn't suit everyone though.

Queenofthedrivensnow · 27/09/2018 15:20

Nanechanger can you be more specific with your diet?

My diet is about 70% vegetables and 1 piece of fruit a day. The rest is tofu, soya, oat milk, bread, pasta, rice, noodles, beans, pulses. I eat a few things like spring rolls, samosas, vegan cheese and the odd biscuit or dark chocolate. I tend to eat lots of Chinese and Thai foods as these are my favourites.

When I was vegetarian I was eating too much junk food - cakes, cheese on toast etc.

This diet is much healthier and I feel more energetic.

Exercise, sadly. I hate it but if I do a 25 minute shred video or something I feel much better - tired but in a “proper” way rather than exhausted. Fuck me but it’s hard to pride myself off the sofa to actually do it though.

Have your bloods checked if you can, specifically look for deficiencies in iron, B12 and D i think it is.
