Anyone good at research? Meter reading Co. with red ‘M’ logo

While I was out at work, somebody came into my back garden and was caught by DS staring through the window. The guy appeared flustered when confronted by DS and said he was there to read the meters. DS said that nothing had been moved to access the meter cupboard. My dog was barking at him so he gave him a treat but my —totally food obsessed— dog spat it out. V. unusual! DS then asked the man to leave as he felt something was ‘off’.

I’ve checked with my energy company who say they don’t think he was sent by them, something to do with not receiving a notification about it?

The man was wearing a lanyard and fleece with a company logo which had a red ‘M’ and black writing.

I’m condidering notifying the police (and keeping the doors locked!) but don’t want to if it’s nothing. Anyone know if this is a legit company?

Could it be Morrison Data Services?

Thanks for the suggestion. I showed him the logo but he says that’s not it. Think I’ll report to the police. I doubt they can do anything but just in case.

I'd definitely report OP.

I'm not a ring the police for anything type but I do think listening to your gut on something like this is probably sensible.
