Child-free weekend and no idea what to do!

My mum has generously offered to have DD for the weekend, it will be our first weekend alone together since she was born (3 yrs ago!) we have no idea what to do or where to go as everything usually revolves around how child friendly it is. Any suggestions welcome!

(We’re aged 26 and 29Smile)

are you looking for a weekend away? maybe you could go to something like this? www.waveneyrivercentre.co.uk/stays-and-boat-hire/touring-camping/glamping-escape-pods/ they also have a hotel on site if glamping isnt your thing x

If I suddenly found myself in your shoes and could afford to... I'd be off to York.

MrsA2015 · 26/09/2018 22:07

Both sound lovely but I think NYC Is not within our budget ! Funnily enough we just joked about going there whilst browsing through groupon

I'd go for a run followed by brunch then a swim, cinema, out for dinner, pub, long lie in, more exercise, out for Sunday lunch, more wine etc...

Choose a few things and stick to it. Don't try to do everything and then end up exhausted and regretful.

When DD was tiny and went to my mum's for the weekend, we'd try to tidy up, get DIY done, go to the cinema, go for dinner, have loads of sex, go out for brunch, etc, etc. It was too much and we ended up not really enjoying the "time off".

Go out for a lovely brunch, maybe cinema then go home and have a few drinks and a lot of sex.

Lie in breakfast, walk, lunch, pub.in the afternoon, movie and a really really unhealthy tea at PizzaHut or McDonald's..
Then beer at home and sex and a damn good sleep.
