Slapped cheek??

Is it possible for a child to have slapped cheek with no other symptoms other than the red cheeks. My dd is 3 and today she has developed really red warm cheeks. She is fine within herself although she has been sleepy these last few days. I have a 3 month old that is getting his vaccinations tomorrow so just wondering if it could be slapped cheek. She has all her teeth btw.

Could you pop in to your local pharmacy? I always found them really helpful and much more accessible than trying to a doctor.

Sadly I can't get to a pharmacy. My dh has our car today and I don't think I could make it on time on the bus.

Both of mine have recently had slapped cheek. Only red cheeks on the first day then a lacy rash all over their bodies from day 2. The body rash hung around for absolutely ages but neither were unwell with it (DD9 and DS18m)

My ds had slapped cheek last year he started with a rash on his arm which than spread over his torso and his cheeks were last to go bright red. The rash felt like sandpaper but he had no sore throat and was just a bit under the weather.

DS’s Slap Cheek started on his legs with the lacy rash. Took two days to get to his face but he was very grumbly and ‘off’ during this time.

My dc's slapped cheek started with the red cheeks. For a day or two it was only one small blotch on one cheek, then moved to both. It took about 4 days to reach the body and then worked from top to bottom over about 4 more days. The rash was lacey and more obvious when warm, especially when just waking on a morning.

Could her molars be coming in?

Both mine have recently had slapped cheek, it started with a nondescript cold & sore throat and ended with the rash on cheeks. They both seems fine really and carried on as normal. My googling suggested that it’s rife at the moment.

Asaik you don’t need to do anything.
