My sons are 14 and 8 and have asked for one with Fifa for Xmas. I am clueless! Any pointers? Is there anything I should look out for. Also, given the price, I would like to make it a joint present for dd (8) too. Any ideas for good games? Thanks.

Is that all I need for them both to play?

Yep - that’s your one above. For the 8 year old id suggest one of the Lego games, there’s loads (don’t get the newer full priced ones) that will fit what he’s into - Harry Potter, marvel superheroes, Star Wars. Most of those are a couple of years old and £15 now.

To be honest he will probably get into fifa too

Yeah - that pack has the console, two controllers and the game. That’s all you need

Game have the fifa 19 PS4 Bundle with 1TB for the same price as the link the poster above provided.

I would get a 1TB PS4 over the 500GB as the games use alot of storage Especially with 2 DC sharing it. Fortnite is the game most boys are playing now which is free to download but does cost for skins and V Bucks for other bits they want to buy.

That’s a very good point, 500gb does run out

BumDisease · 26/09/2018 15:20

Yep, comes with the PS4, two control pads and a copy of the game. As for your daughter, it really depends on her what she might like as there are loads of games for the PS4, but pay attention of the age ratings on them. If you've got somewhere like a CEX or a Cash Generator nearby you can pick up second hand games cheaply.

BumDisease · 26/09/2018 15:21

Oooh, didn't know about the 1TB version. Get that instead!!

HelloPeopl3 · 26/09/2018 15:24

I wouldn't get a PS4 as a joint present. They may want to play different games at the same time, older ds1 may want to play online with friends ds2 imo is too lung for that.
I would opt for one each to save hassle, x

I second the Lego games suggestion. My DS loves them. His favourites are Lego Batman and Lego Star Wars.

Usernumbers1234 · 26/09/2018 16:16

Don’t get one each. Even if you can afford it. Let them enjoyed a shared experience and if one of them has to wait when the other plays a single player game so be it, plenty of hours in the week, they can do something else

Kewqueue · 26/09/2018 19:32

No we definitely can't afford one each. I have made it clear to them that it will have to be a joint present - plus I want it in the lounge not in bedrooms. Thanks for the advice!

It's ds8 who's really pushing for FIFA and he's managed to convince the others more or less. Grin
