Where would you shop and what would you buy?! I’m a bit overwhelmed by choice! I’m not really a designer type.

I would spend it on food and tickets to a show.

MadMaryBoddington · 25/09/2018 21:50

Yes, food. I’d head to Contra.

AlexanderHamilton · 25/09/2018 21:52

I’d head to Broadway & go see a show.

stoplickingthetelly · 25/09/2018 21:55

If it's specifically for shopping I would head to sephora.

FaithInfinity · 25/09/2018 21:59

I’m here now, with DH. We have joint money for food and we might see a show so this money would be for just me, ideally shopping. I’ll check out Sephora thanks stoplickingthetelly.

not sure what you could get for $250 but i’d head straight for tiffany’s 😍

Delatron · 25/09/2018 22:05

You could window shop at Tiffany’s but that’s about it!

I’d go to Sephora too...

farfallarocks · 25/09/2018 22:07

Find an Anthropologie! Or discount department store I bought lovely Ralph Lauren jumpers for $20

MilkComa · 25/09/2018 22:08

Dinner and a show or head for Tiffany's and get something sparkly to remember the trip by

Fstar · 25/09/2018 22:09

Id spend it all in bath and body works on candles and shower gel

FaithInfinity · 25/09/2018 22:14

I went to Tiffany’s today (the flagship store because I love Breakfast at Tiffany’s) but I didn’t even venture inside! It’s been pouring all day and I said to DH I didn’t think I’d be taken seriously in a mac! Smile

Bath and Body Works and lunch at The Grand Central Oyster Bar.

VodkaLimeSoda27 · 25/09/2018 22:24

If shopping, go to the Jersey Gardens mall in Elizabeth, NJ. There's a bus from Port Authority bus station and you could get a lot for $250 there! They have some great stuff there, not just tat- I go twice a year for clothes and Christmas gifts.

Fluffyears · 25/09/2018 22:25

Tiffany’s, got a silver necklace for $150.

Howtodeal · 25/09/2018 22:27

Chelsea Market, there's a fabulous Anthopologie and a Sephora nearby

DickensianHysteric · 25/09/2018 22:29

I'd go to Crate and Barrel, love shopping for homewares much more than shopping for clothes! You need more luggage space to bring them home though...

SequinsOnEverything · 25/09/2018 22:31

Go back to tiffanys! I've got a necklace and a bracelet from there and both cost less than $250

Maginthemirror · 25/09/2018 22:36

I like crafty things so I would head for Michaels but bath and body works is fab as well.

FaithInfinity · 28/09/2018 01:04

So I have bought - a necklace from Tiffany, Levi’s (40% off!) and we went to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner so I got a t-shirt from there. Bang on budget. Decided on quality over quantity!

If you go to Bloomingdale’s visitor centre and tell them you’re a tourist they’ll give you a 10% discount card.

Justawaterformeplease · 28/09/2018 01:56

Oh sorry, I see I’m too late!

Magmatic80 · 28/09/2018 02:17

I’d walk out of this cell I’m staying in, and pay for a proper hotel room next door with double glazing and an ensuite forgot I’m not a youth hostel person since last visit 15 years ago

Magmatic80 · 28/09/2018 02:18

But yours is better 😀👏🏻👏🏻

junebirthdaygirl · 28/09/2018 03:48

I was there recently and got lovely designer stuff at TJMaxx..think thats the correct name. Its like TKMaxx at home. Took a bit of searching but with 250 l would have cleaned up. Only buy something you are actually going to wear at home. Maybe nice coat at this time of year. But l got fab dresses which l constantly wore throughout the summer. Enjoy!!!

FaithInfinity · 28/09/2018 16:41

I saw a TJMaxx today June but I’m all shopped out now! Grin New York has broken us! Averaged 8 miles a day, seen most of the tourist stops- the Met, Central Park, 9/11 memorial and museum, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Top of the Rock, and Empire State Building. Heading home now for a rest!
