Chatham/Rochester

Can anyone advise me on the best shopping areas around Rochester/Chatham.

I’m not a fan of big malls etc. Would prefer quaint streets with good shops and eating places.

I’ve tried online but not getting far.

Many thanks

There’s not much shopping at all. Rochester has some one off botiques and mainly gift shops. Chatham has a big Primark and some chain shops. I’m assuming you’re after clothes. Strood has a Matalan.

@selinamyers that’s the impression I’m getting. Visiting over the weekend and was hoping to do some shopping. On previous visits I have shopped in Farnham Guildford etc which I loved.

You'd be better off heading down the road to Maidstone.

Canterbury is not far and has plenty of little side streets with good shops and places to eat. It's not that far from chatham/Rochester.

Probably better shooting up to Bluewater , although Im not a fan of that

I prefer Canterbury, and Canterbury definitely beats Maidstone on 'quaint streets'.

Rochester has antique shops, charity shops and places to eat and drink.

For shopping, we prefer Maidstone and Bluewater. However, Rochester does have some cute independent shops!
