Hi just recieved a letter saying my package is going up£3 a month again

im sure it went up again a few months ago

anyway ive decided to get rid,get a aerial fitted and just have broadband

either post office £17 a month for 12months or talk talk the same, aerial will cost £120 ish,am paying £50 at moment through robbing Virgin but also included a tv package

even taking the fitting the aerial will save alot by getting rid of the tv part and broadband by Virgin

Has anybody done the same, did you miss the tv??,we can get Free view once aerial is fitted

We've just left - the price rises are ridiculous and we hardly watch TV! We've gone to TalkTalk for internet and will get a FreeView box - they do a deal.

flopsyrabbit1 · 25/09/2018 16:43

yes vicky i was thinking they keep putting it up all the time

same only watch tv at night and freeview will be more than enough, can you tell me what deal your is pls

We have freeview and plusnet internet / phone. Nothing on earth would induce me to go back to Virgin. I found them dreadful to deal with and eventually they became crippingly expensive

flopsyrabbit1 · 25/09/2018 16:48

aerial being fitted tomorrow, then i can happily phone Virgin and tell them to stick it

any other good deals about??

We got rid of sky as they wanted stupid money. We now have a sat box and amazon prime and Netflix. Not missed it once. Don’t regret doing it. And will never go back to it either

Fairylea · 25/09/2018 16:53

We just have freesat and Netflix and a chromecast. We use rakuten (you can download the app and cast it across via chrome cast) for new releases and film rentals (its £3.99 a rental). There’s no way I would pay extra money for Virgin or Sky etc.

flopsyrabbit1 · 25/09/2018 17:13

the aerial fitter said he has had a few calls about getting an aerial cos of Virgins prices this week

We just do Netflix, YouTube, and iPlayer (and the ones for ITV and 4). That's more than enough TV for our needs.
