Now I love my Yankee candles! They are one of my vices!

I don’t like the food scents but love the fresh ones they do. My current faves are riveria escape and garden sweet pea. I also am quite partial to turquoise sea.

what are your favourites and the best for throwing out scents?

Thanks in advance! :)

Fresh cut roses

chipsandpeas · 25/09/2018 15:05

Baby powder or clean cotton are my favs

wrenika · 25/09/2018 19:06

My favourite is Midsummer Night. I also love Kilimanjaro Stars and Mountain Lodge. If it's Christmas, I'm partial to a peppermint scent of some sort but I find the cinnamon types of ones to be too strong and they give me a head ache.

My favourites are

Lemon lavender and aloe water. For Christmas I love the perfect tree one. My least favourites are the food smells especially the biscuit/cookie ones they have an odd element to them that I don't like. It might be cinnamon.

SecretWitch · 25/09/2018 19:18

I just ordered sugared apple and sugared plum. I currently have honey clementine lit.

legofansmum · 25/09/2018 19:18

Fluffy Towels

A Child's Wish- discontinued unfortunately but sometimes stumble across the melts ,it's divine

Aloe Water is fresh

The costal range ones are fresh scents and can often be found cheap in places like Julian Charles

I bought a candle warmer from the Gift Company for my large jars and find that it gives the candles a better "throw "

Might be too foody for you but one of my all times favourites is Sun Drenched Apricot Rose- mainly floral but has some Apricot tones

Mainchanger · 25/09/2018 19:26

Thanks everyone ! I’ll have a look at some of those- anyone tried “sea air” or “garden by the sea” wondering if there any good?

Lavender Vanilla
Egyptian Musk
Sage and Citrus.
Their Vanilla diffuser is divine.

toffee1000 · 25/09/2018 21:13

I like too many of them to choose just one! I currently have Sicilian Lemon, Black Cherry, Sweet Apple and Vanilla, and just bought myself Cinnamon Stick for a more autumnal scent. I like loads of them, though; they sell some in a Clinton’s near where I live.
My mother has a Garden by the Sea one. Do any local shops/department stores near you sell them? You could go in and smell them so you don’t buy one you end up liking. Or you could order a votive candle/small jar so you’re not too out of pocket if you don’t like it.

NicoAndTheNiners · 25/09/2018 21:13

Does anyone use the melt cup warmers and wax cups instead of candles? Are the strengths of the scents as good?

Are Yankees soot free? DH has banned scented candles after reading an article that they are carcinogenic.

I miss them but did my own research and think he's got a point

Bunnyhop1502 · 25/09/2018 23:12

I’m currently burning Viva Havana and will shortly be switching to something more autumnal. Rhubarb Crumble maybe...
