How does Hype sizing run?

My DS(10) has just started to get interested in labelled clothes, especially Hype, and I said I'd get him a couple of things for his Christmas.

The only sizes seem to be 9-10 or 11 -12 so I was wondering if I would be better to go for the 11-12 or is the sizing quite generous. Nowhere in our town sells Hype so online is my only option, can't try it on :/

I don’t think there’s a big difference in sizes but they do run quite big. Ds has some hype stuff in 9-10 and 11-12 and they are nearly identical in size and all on the big side (but wearable). He’s an average height/size nearly 11yo.
