Just do eye tests and take measurements/photographs using a range of machines. They don't hurt but some drops may sting, take some tissues as you get coloured tears. That is based on my lens replacement surgery which is the same.

When my DF had it, there were some tests and measurements and it was all over fairly quickly. The one bad point was the drops they put in to dilate his pupils meant that he was blinded by the light when he came out of the hospital into the daylight. I'd take some sunglasses for him if I were you just in case. Oh and BTW, the actual operations (DF had both eyes done) were, he said, no problem at all.

Eyes will be a bit blurry after the drops.Would write more but am sick of not having paragraphs or the entire post not posting.
