(Apologies, the iPad won’t allow me to create paragraphs) For the past five nights I’ve been bitten in the night. Often only one bite but occasionally three. Mostly on my calves and two on my thigh. I notice an itchy lump in the morning, which is quite light coloured. After a few days have passed they just look like a darker red circle with no lump or itch. I have vacuumed everything in the bedroom including the bed frame and washed everything washable. The only things I haven’t been able to wash are the duvet and mattress. The bed frame is a cheap metal one and has been vacuumed where the slats meet the frame at the sides. My husband has nothing. What could it be? We dont have pets so fleas seem unlikely. I have seen no evidence of bed bugs and read online that they tend to favour other areas. We haven’t stayed anywhere to have brought them back with us. I bought an old mirror which is currently propped next to my bed but it’s been there for around four months. I don’t know how a bug could have lived in it for that long and only just started to bite.
