DP & I have been together for about 3 years and have lived together for 1. We are early 50s. DP has always been more confident than me. He recently met an old friend of his (male) and the friend has been to ours on quite a few occasions. I get on well with him. We have never had a single message to each other and all arrangements are made between the two of them. The friend is currently going through a break up with his long term partner. In the last 2 weeks DP has been asking/messaging me every hour ‘ You do love me don’t you ? ‘ . This morning he has gone overseas with work - he is away for the week. On leaving he said he couldn’t sleep last night as he is paranoid and thinking constantly about ‘bad’ things & mentioned his friend. I have never ever given him any reason to have a single thought like this. I feel a bit pissed off & know I’m going to have to almost give him photographic proof as to what I’m doing ! I feel like I’m being treated like a child. Sorry for no paragraphs but the return button isn’t working Hmm
