Which supermarket has the best ready made custard

I hate cheap custard...I love rich thick vanilla-ry deliciousness

But who does the best ready made one because I need comfor food and custard and bananas sounds incredible right now!

Sainsburys finest is very nice. Lots of vanilla. Waitrose and marks are also v good.
Like you I love custard!

tesco finest is delicious, but they have reduced the carton size recently. bastards

M and S. It's superb

Marks and Spencer is very good. Waitrose too.

Sainsbury's taste the difference, or waitrose one .
Tesco's finest is terrible IMHO- far too much thickener!

Sains Taste the Difference Vanilla custard is immense, and I don't even like custard!

I find adding a good glug of double cream to inferior custards improves them immensely. Some of the ready made ones are too creamy already. They taste like melted vanilla ice cream.

I pass both an M&S and a Sainsbury’s on the way home...perhaps I should get both just for comparison purposes
