Seamless socks and label less clothing for kids

Hi everyone, I am thinking of setting up a side business selling seamless socks and label less clothing etc. Just wondered if this is something that people would be interested in /buy? In particular seamless socks that are a bit better than just plain socks - school socks for example with bows on them etc.
Also clothing in good, soft material with no labels for children who are particularly sensitive to labels etc.
Any feedback would be great, thank you!!!

I have a friend who would definitely be in the market for this!

👍🏻 Thanks! X

I have now got used to most socks but I still hate ones with textured sewing.

Label-less clothes: I just unpick the labels from mine, so I wonder if there might be a more limited market?

I would be interested in the seamless socks for my DC definitely

Thank you! I know I have really struggled with my youngest..nightmare every morning! And I’ve struggled to buy some that are ‘nice’

I know at the moment I try my best to turn socks inside out, get soft material socks and I cut labels off etc I just thought an actual range that parents in particular could go to and buy from which would make life a bit easier..knowing first hand what it’s like with a highly sensitive child! I would take anything to help make day to day life easier! Even when I cut labels off that’s not enough as she can still feel the seam where the label was x

I have to buy seamless socks for my ds or comfy socks with a flat seam. I would be interested in buying your clothing but it would depend on the price.

Beamur · 24/09/2018 08:27

I always cut the labels out of DSS clothes as they irritated him, but that was enough to make them comfortable to wear. Presumably you have to have certain labels in clothes though for legal reasons?

QueenArseClangers · 24/09/2018 08:33

Yes! Seamless socks especially. The hours we’ve spent over the years fiddling about trying to get the seam just right and not ‘hurting’ or giving up and turning them inside out...

QueenArseClangers · 24/09/2018 08:35

In some baby clothes they have label information printed directly onto the fabric of the top/vest. Why can’t they just do that for everything?

Crocky · 24/09/2018 08:47

I buy seamless socks for myself in Asda. I have to have a bit of a rummage through the packets to figure out which patterns are seamless but there have always been a couple of choices. Never looked to see if they do the same in the children’s range.

Jammiebammie · 24/09/2018 08:53

Seamless socks yes - preferably at a good price point as the only ones dd wears are ££ (and there isn’t much choice) there are quite a lot of seamless socks around, but not a lot seem to be truly seamless and if they are the material is all wrong. Girls longer school socks are especially hard to find.

No labels I wouldn’t be interested in as we tend to just pick labels out - especially as we have to watch material and fit mostly, so the labels are the last thing I check.

oh yes ,why oh why don't they ?

I am driven insane by labels and they are often sewn into the seam and not easy to remove .Cutting the label as short as I can still leaves enough to irritate me .

and don't get me started on those loop type labels that have a sort of hospital corner and some kind of metallic/plasticky thread that digs into the back of the neck .

I think there would be a market for this, I trawled the shops and outdoor markets for seamless socks when eldest was young (around 13 years ago), it was a nightmare, I'd never heard of any one else having this issue at the time either.

My 7 year old ds is not too bad with socks but labels often have to be cut out especially on his pants (he wears tight boxer short style) and even then he gets irritated with seams and often has to wear them inside out!

I do empathise as I'm quite sensitive myself, I love primark vests as they're the only ones long enough but the side labels are vile even when cut as near as possible so I always wear them inside out.

Thanks everyone, very helpful feedback! It seems the socks would be a good starting point! I agree there are a few places that do them but some aren’t truly seamless and there is a limited choice of style. Having longer school socks which look good with possibly bows on etc for my little girl would appeal to me - I certainly can’t find anything on the market like that!
