Cheapest way to buy HP Lego

I’m sadly starting to plan Christmas to spread the cost.

DD wants a few bits of the HP Lego but it is very expensive (and it’s lego!). I’ve had a little look about and the prices seem quite samey. However this year there’s no ToysRUs and no Tesco direct to look at - so wondering if with less competition the prices might stay higher?

Wondering if there is somewhere that be the best place to keep an eye on for deals?

I bought it from the Lego shop. I don’t think you will get any bargains on HP Lego, they are more likely to sell out - I had to wait a month for one of the sets direct from Lego.

I bought DD hP Lego as soon as I saw it, in a tesco store. I think it's a grab it when you can, the prices are all pretty much the same, I paid £35 for the Quidditch set im so excited to build it

Lego shop often do 20% off everything for Black Friday. Also, Smyths do 20% off instore some point soon, worth watching for.

If you are happy with not-lego, and can wait a bit, Lepin from Aliexpress is incredibly close to the real thing (I can't tel the difference, DH says it doesn't have quite the same 'snap'). They have amazing hp stuff.

We got the quidditch set from Argos on their 3 for 2 toy deal for DDs birthday got another Lego city set and a stunt scooter for ds for Xmas. They will be doing another 3 for 2 soon.

If DD has any classmates who are equally HP lego mad me and two other mums from DS's class clubbed together and got 3 expensive sets from Boots on 3 for 2 a couple of years ago. Meant everyone got equivalent of a third off.
