Carboot Haggler

Just wanted to share something and see what people think. I will give you the short story.

I did a car boot a couple of months ago and I sold some toys to a woman who claimed she was giving them to charity. Following week I didn’t do a carboot but I decided to go and take a walk round. I see the toys the lady got from me on her stall priced way more than what she paid me for them. This week I did another car boot and she came over to my stall and said she wanted a deal, I said sorry everything’s priced. She then said it’s for a cancer charity so you should lower it. Now this annoyed me. I told her about the previous time and she claimed she never put my items on her stall and that she gives them straight to the charity when actually I saw them. I said she shouldn’t be using charity as an excuse to buy things cheaper. Now I don’t mind people buying stuff from my stall and trying to sell them for more, but the fact she used a cancer charity as an excuse I think is wrong. A few other sellers and buyers over the past month have said the same thing too. Is this something that should be addressed with the people in charge of the car boot? Or is it something that they cannot do. I asked information about her charity and she didn’t respond. She just walked off. I think it’s disgusting people lie about this kind of stuff. I know she MAY be raising funds for charity. But the fact she gave no information about it when I asked basically says she’s lied, and also the fact other sellers have noticed it too. There’s no signs or anything on her stall either to say she’s selling for charity.

Why would anyone be buying things to give to a charity shop? More fool you for believing her!

Wasn’t to give to a charity shop.

I didn’t even mention a charity shop.
