We had fillet steak and sides last night so having a healthier Sunday.
We had porridge with berries for breakfast
Homemade cream of roast vegetable soup with hot rolls (the kind you finish baking at home )
Dinner later will be BBC Good Food 'Healthy Egg & Chips' - cubed potatoes par-boiled, then tossed in a small amount of sunflower oil and roasted till starting to crisp, add sliced red onion, sliced mushrooms and chopped lean bacon and a sprinkle of oregano, let that cook till golden, make wells and crack eggs into the tray and bake till cooked as you like. Serve with baked beans on the side - it is plate lickingly good! And very simple

What are you all having today?

I was just going through what’s left in the fridge and cupboards etc and have actually made a tasty feast!
Toasted flatbreads
Selection of meats like salami, nice ham etc
Olives
Roasted salted broad beans
M&S beer battered onion rings
Curly chips
Couple of chicken nugs

Crunchymum · 23/09/2018 17:52

No breakfast for me (DP was at work). Kids had cereal and yogurt

L: bacon sarnies for adults, ham salad sarnies for kids.

D: pasta bake with home made garlic bread and a big salad.

MrsChollySawcutt · 23/09/2018 18:00

Pork roast rack in the oven right now with gorgeous roast potatoes, roasted veg, steamed carrots and broccoli.

happypotamus · 23/09/2018 18:04

I had a chicken and ham pie from the freezer with peas and mash. DDs had pasta with peas and cheese. DH is out and will eat later when I am at work and DDs are asleep.
For breakfast I had a slice of toast, DD2 had weetabix and I can't remember what DD1 had even though I must have made it for her.
DDs were at a party at lunch time and had sausages and chips. I had nothing and I don't know what, if anything, DH had because he was at home.

prettygreywalls · 23/09/2018 18:06

Home made pizza
Home made Lemon cheesecake
Mmm I'm really hungry now I've written that but it won't be for at least an hour and a bit

So we had:

Breakfast: bagel and cream cheese with a cuppa (twinings)
Lunch: haloumi and vegetable ragu ciabatta with chips and a cup of Cornish tea
Dinner: pan fried lamb with mashed potatoes and broccoli. But don't have any gravy or anything. Sigh.

Kidneyvback · 23/09/2018 18:33

Spicy tomato lamb soup. With aubergine yogurt puree. Warm bread and baby new potatoes. Strange mix but what we fancy

liverbird79 · 23/09/2018 18:41

Last nights Chinese for dinner and a roast beef dinner shortly.

Child free today so we have drank copious amounts of chianti all day

Peanutbuttershake · 23/09/2018 18:44

Just did a big meal prep, feeling just a bit proud of my efforts Grin leek and mushroom risotto, spaghetti with a lemon zest and parsley dressing, a tray of roast veg and a roasted capsicum dip for snacking. Banana bread is in the oven and now to relax and enjoy the last few hours of the weekend!

Nononononono33 · 23/09/2018 18:56

I can’t believe what I have eaten today. I simply cannot stop being hungry. But I have swum and it’s back to post holiday 5:2 from tomorrow. I’ve eaten:

Two rounds of toast
Two rounds of eggy bread
A couple of mini cheese and bacon sausage rolls
Massive bag of milk and white choc buttons all to myself
About to have pork roast with roasties, crackling, Yorkshire puds and veg followed by home made profiteroles with chantilly cream and chocolate sauce. Also having a lovely rose gin and tonic which I was definitely not going to have on a school night.

The swim doesn’t even touch all that!!

Forgettheworld · 23/09/2018 18:59

I’ve got diet controlled gestational diabetes so reading everyone’s meals makes me want to cry! I’ll be having something that heavily includes cheese or eggs or both!

Roast chicken dinner (with all trimmings), not forgetting the
parsnips cooked in honey! (yum!)

Lwmommy · 23/09/2018 19:05

@Forgettheworld I had GD, roast dinners are your friend, the only bit you may struggle with is the potato es but you can swap those out for roasted sweet potato or just have the other veg.

Passthecake30 · 23/09/2018 19:05

I've had -
Boiled eggs and toast
Lots of sultanas
Baguette with ham and salad
2 mint viscount
Wotsits
Nectarine
Grapes
Mini bag of Star mix
Pork loin, roast spuds, Yorkshires, cabbage, carrots, brocolli and wine 🍷
Got a blackberry and apple pie next...

Nixen · 23/09/2018 19:05

Pate on toast for breakfast, steak sandwich with bearnaise for lunch, pie mash and roasted carrots for dinner. Nothing fancy but all yummy!

Kemer2018 · 23/09/2018 19:08

The inlaws took us for dinner so we had gammon, yorkie, med veg, honey carrots with roasties.
This evening, i did cheese toastie for Dd and lentil soup for me. When dd saw soup, she asked to swap. She got the better option 😀

vampirethriller · 23/09/2018 19:17

Breakfast was bread with peanut butter and blackberry jam. Lunch and dinner were toad in the hole with mash. No not exactly healthy but I care not a jot today.
