Friend going through chemo and not really sure what to say

She doesn't want anyone over just now so we're texting quite often. I can do cat pictures and 'guess what scandal occurred in work/ mad commuter moment' etc, but I don't quite know what to say when she mentions her symptoms or how unwell she feels.

I suppose just being sympathetic, saying oh that’s awful etc and letting her know she can rant about it freely - remember to ask about how she’s feeling after she’s mentioned feeling ill so she knows you care. Cute animal pics are cute too!

And asking her if there’s anything you can do to help I guess? Or saying you’re free to go over when she does want to see people, and watching trashy tv?
