Tooth and gum swelling

So my normal dentist couldn't see me when my filling broke off (wasn't classed as a emergency) so I ended up paying on Friday privately, for a temporary filling, the tooth on question didn't hurt before this was done, about a hour afterwards the gum started to cause a bit of pain.

By the early hours of this morning, the gum has swollen so much I can't eat and can hardly open my mouth this morning cause of the swelling, can't get a dental appointment on a Sunday.

so does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you

Sounds like an abcess if it's painful, especially if the new filling has caused trauma to the nerves.

I'd try out of hours, at least you'd be able to access antibiotics and decent pain relief before tomorrow. You poor thing Flowers
