Was I wrong to whip my top off in the carpark?

I'd been for a very wet run in the rain. When I got back to the car, (at a park/beauty spot) I stood by the boot, back to the public, whipped of my wet top and put a dry sweatshirt on. Not as quick as I could have been maybe as cold wet fingers weren't working properly but a few seconds.

Fwiw, Underneath, I was wearing a very robust M&S sports bra and I don't have much to see anyway!

And?

SuperSange · 23/09/2018 11:08

Ive done the same after a wet run. Who cares? You weren't parading about with your nips out.

Doje · 23/09/2018 11:09

I wouldn't think so. People run just in those sports bras - they're pretty big!

Nothisispatrick · 23/09/2018 11:09

Why are you asking? Did someone say YABU to do that?

SoupDragon · 23/09/2018 11:09

Why would you think it was wrong?

Undercoverbanana · 23/09/2018 11:09

Are you me? I did exactly the same this morning after a proper drenching. I do this regularly. I change my shorts into joggers sometimes too after a wet or sweaty run.

Jaguarana · 23/09/2018 11:10

I'd have got changed in the car personally.

KlutzyDraconequus · 23/09/2018 11:10

Did someone see you or say something?

I.mean carparks in beauty spots will often see far more than a woman in a sports bra.
Never go there on a Friday night..

NerrSnerr · 23/09/2018 11:12

Of course it's fine. Did someone say something?

Undercoverbanana · 23/09/2018 11:13

Jaguarana - I’m usually trying to avoid getting the interior of the car soaked so get changed by the boot and chuck the wet stuff straight in a bag.

Bluntness100 · 23/09/2018 11:14

Eh? Did someone say something? I'm not sure of the issue here, people work out in cropped tops or sports bras, you hardly exposed yourself.

FlibbertyGiblets · 23/09/2018 11:16

That is normal. Has someone frowned at you?

HandlebarTash81 · 23/09/2018 11:18

Of course YWNBU!

girlalmighty · 23/09/2018 11:21

Very unreasonable

Bestseller · 23/09/2018 11:22

I wasn't frowned at it was a full on rant about indecency where families might be (absolutely none today in the rain but I'd have still done it if there were).

Meandyouandyouandme · 23/09/2018 11:23

I did this at the top of Ben Nevis, got absolutely soaked so took my top off, did have a sports bra on, then put on some dry clothes from my bag. My friend took her trousers off and just put her over trousers back on, so flashed her knickers! I don’t think anyone was looking though, it was hailstoning and blowing a hooley up there.

Haberpop · 23/09/2018 11:25

I wonder if the ranter would've said the same to a male whipping his top off? I can see nothing wrong with what you did.

Undercoverbanana · 23/09/2018 11:25

OP - some people are very weird about bodies. I can never comprehend it myself.

KlutzyDraconequus · 23/09/2018 11:26

Should have told them to keep their nose out and fuck off.
Then ask why they were looking?
Maybe a call to the constabulary about the perv in the park?

AssassinatedBeauty · 23/09/2018 11:30

Of course it was fine. It's not indecent in the slightest.

fussychica · 23/09/2018 11:31

Blimey I do this all the time after tennis. I just check no one around and do it. The ranter is insane.

EK36 · 23/09/2018 11:31

It's fine.

MoorMummy · 23/09/2018 11:33

Pathetic, many of the girls at my gym work out in a sports bra, no one cares. I’d run in one ( if I looked a bit better 😊). I’ve whipped my top off in a race before now to take an under top off.

Feel annoyed on your behalf!

Bluewidow · 23/09/2018 11:33

It's the same as wearing a bikini isn't it. Unless you got your bangerjangers out I don't see the issue.

Petalflowers · 23/09/2018 11:33

You had a decent bra on. No doubt people wear less (bikinis etc) at the beach.

Well done for going on a run in this appalling weather.
