Recommendations for beds

Looking for a new bed and mattress soon as my partner has broken ours. Blush

Think a metal bed would be best, unless anyone has any alternatives? Need to be able to put it together ourselves.

Need a really good mattress too. Ours is horrible and if I lie on it for too long it hurts my hips.

Any recommendations? We have a dreams show room near us that we can go to to view beds and I would rather do that as I want strong slats that won't break as easy as these wooden ones.

We have just bought a new one today after about eleventy years of diliberating. Went for a super king ikea one with the firmest most expensive matresss. We are both hefty so couldn’t scrimp on a bed! It was expensive (over 3k all in) but that was for delivery and taking away the old one.

It’s a divan with deep mattress then mattresss topper, so no slats

We just bought a new bed. Went to John Lewis and had a lie down on every single mattress. (Some more than once!)
We didn’t want a divan so we went for a mattress with an ottoman base for storage.

Go for a sprung divan base and the best quality mattress you can afford.

Vi-Spring beds are the best but are £££s. Hypnos are a good mid range option.

I don't really want a divan to be honest. I like a bed with space underneath it for boxes and stuff.

We had a divan with drawers. Now the ottoman base.
