They don't grow out if it. My 9 year old can't get through a day without mentioning his willy. He wound me up by saying he'd got his willy stuck in his zip . Just accept willy behaviour will be in your daily agenda.

Of course it gets better! When non family members are around by the time they develop inhibition about nakedness etc. They wont do it in public by age 5 or so, but when tired at home later, maybe not properly inhibited about nakedness and willies til 10.

Just keep saying 'in private, dear' in a really really bored tone.

At least this is one thing that people can't blame the mother

Good luck. My 32 year old husband always has his hands down his lounge wear at home.
Once, he chopped some chillis, didn't wash his hands properly and resumed absent minded phallic fondling later on. You'd think the shock and pain would have acted as a deterrent. It did not.

I said to ds last week “don’t play with your willy when other people are around”

So he went into the empty room next to us, came back a few minutes later and said “finished playing”

There doesn't need to be wee everywhere either! What are some of you teaching your son's! Willy fixation is normal but fiddling in public and wee everywhere after aren't after sge 5 or 6! My boys are 7 and 11. Only have to raise eyebrows at 7 year old occasionally. Playing with your willy is to be fine in private. It's not difficult, just matter of fact.

My six year old is mad for his. I've told him he can play with it as much as he likes in bed but it's not for sharing. I fear he knows exactly what he's doing as when I say "put it away. What would miss teacher say if you got it out in class?" ... And he responds with a grin "she'd think it's lovely".

I'm so glad I had a daughter.
