Anyone from Glasgow able to help with parking near the cinemas?

I’ve had a look online but it’s unclear. What parking is available at the 2 cineworld cinemas? Which has cheaper parking

Thanks.

The multi story at buchanan galleries? I'm sure it's a flat rate of £3 after a certain time.

There are 4 Cineworld cinemas in Glasgow.

The biggest one is Cineworld Renfrew Street is in the city centre, closest parking is concert square car park, probably £4-5 for the duration of a film.

The one at Parkhead is next to the Glasgow Forge shopping centre, which I believe is free parking.

There’s another in Silverburn shopping centre over in the south of the city, again free parking.

Finally the IMAX at Glasgow Science centre is run by Cineworld and shows selected films on the massive IMAX screen, car parking is around £4/5 for the official car park but there’s lots of wee streets to park for free nearby.

The other Cineworld in Glasgow is at silverburn shopping centre,

Careful not to park in Tesco car park at Silverburn for more than 2 hours as you get charged. I like the one in EK as it has the lazy boy seats 😂

I wouldn't go the Parkhead one if you can avoid it (It's a tad rough) I used to love near there

TiaMariaAndCoke · 22/09/2018 19:57

I've parked at the forge before and stuck it by Macdonald's as it's properly lit and of course loads of people around. The carpark by the actual cinema is badly lit and deserted.

Blankiefan · 22/09/2018 19:57

Wait a min. If it's the one at The Fort that's fine (that isn't Parkhead, more like Easterhouse but it's on a big retail park which is fine).

The Forge is in Parkhead but thats entirely different to the Fort. Clearly it's confusing!!

Second Silverburn, and don't park in the Tesco bit of the car park.

Bairnsmum05 · 22/09/2018 20:19

Used Parkhead loads of times, I’ve found it totally fine and handy with Asda nearby for sweets 😃 used to work in east end so maybe I’m immune to the ‘roughness” of it 😂

TiaMariaAndCoke · 22/09/2018 20:22

That Asda sells NO fresh food - good job you were only after sweets. I love that shopping centre - it's a guilty pleasure... Like googling "bad tattoos".

Allows one to give one's head a wobble.

I live a mile east of the Forge and it’s fine. Parking is free, well-lit and plentiful.
