Does anyone know about old Meccano please?

My children inherited a large amount of old Meccano some time ago. They've never used it and I'd like to sell it, bit don't know where or how to get the best price.
We have all sorts of pieces. We even have a large coffee table- storage system that I imagine someone built in the 40s or 50s.

Can anyone help?

Probably weigh it & sell in large lot(s) on Ebay by weight. Use advanced search for sold listings to see what equal weight lots have sold for recently... and add 30% to the maximum price.

Because 2 months ago was midsummer when sale prices are terrible & 2 months in the future is just before Christmas when sale prices are great. So go for a high price if you can. Prices stay high all the way into mid January some years, btw.

Make sure it's very clean and undamaged before you post. Take lots of good quality pictures to post on Ebay, especially of any different pieces.

I'm not sure whether to do mixed lots or sell bags of one thing at a time?
