DS is Yr 13 and starting to make plans for next year. He will put in a Ucas appln but atm doesn't think that's for him so looking at other things.

One he's really keen on asks for 500 characters on (not words) on positions of responsibilty he holds. He actually has quite a few, but would you include the "lesser" ones or just put down the most impressive?

Any advice?

OK, one last try.

Do you think it's better to put everything down in bullet points or pick a couple of the stronger ones and expand on them? (only 500 characters)

Assuming he still gets to write a personal statement I think I'd list them in this section and then explain what impact they have on him, skills learnt etc in the statement.

It may matter what course(s) he's applying for, whether any of those especially fits with that ambition.

No, at this point in the application process there is no personal statement. The only questions are Gcse grades, a level predictions and this box about positions of responsibility held.

Put them all in, especially if they reflect varied interests which show he is a rounded individual

If that's all the questions I think just list as many as possible as its the only way to stand out from the crowd
