Non alcoholic drinks

due to a medical condition and treatment I am not able to drink any alcohol for the next few months. I don’t have a problem not having a glass of wine, G&T etc and I’m ok at home however I’m getting bored of the rubbish choice when out and about already. I have been away with work this week and the restaurant had Diet Coke or water. I really don’t want to hugely increase how much Diet Coke or fruit juice I am drinking. So if you don’t drink, inspire me, what’s your tipple of choice?

What are your tastebuds like?

Mine are quite sharp so I guess I could tolerate angorterine bitters (or however that's spelt - autocorrect was trying to come up with 'a hotter one', err no autocorrect).

Lime and soda? Or do you like fruity drinks?

Stinkbomb · 21/09/2018 22:43

I like lime & soda in an evening, can't drink Diet Coke after 5pm!

IHaveBrilloHair · 21/09/2018 22:44

I struggle with this too, I'll eat most things but I'm really fussy about drinks.
I like tea, water and lager.
Obvs lager isn't a choice when I'm driving, ordering tea with a meal is weird and asking for plain water makes me look like I'm being stingy and don't want to pay for a drink.

I drink alcohol-free kopparberg, at home and out.

brillohair - Bitburger Drive or Becks Blue are your friends. Genuinely drinkable, alcohol free (or officially so, anyway) beer. Yum.

I drink Asda and Sainsburys' own brand sparkling flavoured water. Very cheap too. Smile

Belvoir Pink Lemonade
Fentimans Rose Lemonade
Ginger Ale & Lime
Lime/Blackcurrant & Soda
St Clements (half orange juice, half lemonade)
Appletiser

All lovely!

The best Alcohol free lager type beer I've come across is Piston head alcohol free flat tire. Really nice and refreshingly citrussy. Tesco sell it online. Much nicer than Becks blue (which i think it's alright anyway).

SweetPeaPods · 22/09/2018 08:09

I’m away with work this week and fingers crossed we have more of a selection. It would be great if they have a selection of Fentimans (though still full of sugar) or an alcohol free beer. I have a feeling tonic or soda water will be my friend.

Haven’t seen alcohol free kopparberg out, only in supermarkets. That would be good!

Fever tree tonic is actually very nice with a good squeeze of lime and plenty of ice. That’s what I’m mainly drinking whilst out at the moment.

IchFliegeNach · 22/09/2018 09:20

Tonic is good or ginger beer? Especially 'artisan' ones that have a bit of bite.
Orange juice and sparkling water?
I sympathise, though. Only so many fizzy drinks I can take in one night.

Lime and soda water
