Ideas for reveal of dream trip?

DD is taking the boyf to New York for his birthday and he doesn't know yet! She wants to do some sort of reveal the day before they go. He knows they're going away, but not where.

So she wants to do a box of clues, but she doesn't know where to start! It needs to be a bit cryptic I think, but due to it being Friday night and me having a wee bit of wine to drink, my brain isn't working! I said, putting an apple in is too bloody obvious and that's all I've come up with so far!! Grin

What do you think ?

An apple?

Well I did several small presents wrapped up. There was a basketball, a bagel, a plastic apple, a yellow taxi, a dollar bill and a nyc subway map but this was for my kids who were 7 and 10 so maybe your DDs boyfriend will need something more sophisticated.

Sorry, not very cryptic. Pictures of River Phoenix and Kate Hudson (Hudson River)?

How well does he know the city? As in, woud he understand a reference to the Times Square ball drop?

Make him a Manhattan cocktail (but don't tell him what it is)...

Buy a cheap charity shop jigsaw, and wrap up the box with only a single piece inside? (a part of it Grin)

Bunnybigears, hilarious! DD and I are roaring at more sophisticated! No, they are perfect! Lol! Grin

Thank you so much, these are bloody perfect!!

Iklboo, I love the River Phoenix and Kate Hudson idea. It's brilliant!
