Just wondering what some people are like really. Whether different or the same as they come across.

Still odd though Bike - given she doesn't have a brother.

Exactly Dowager, which is why I think interpreted it as I did. Maybe that poster’s sister lived with Brian May???!😊

Friends with a sportsman who plays for his country and does TV work. Really nice guy

Kidneyvback · 22/09/2018 09:01

My husband knows a famous pop singer turned presenter. Fixed his phone. Very down to earth nice guy. Not as cheesy as on tv

Kidneyvback · 22/09/2018 09:05

Oh yes I went to 6th form with a now actor. Has done really well for himself. He always came across as a bit up him self but on his own he was very friedy and encouraging. I remember the first time I saw him on a Hollywood block buster I shouted to my husband I KNOW HIM! Haha

I'm friends with an 80's pop star who still does stuff. Hilarious and kind.

AccidentallyRunToWindsor · 22/09/2018 09:11

Yep. Someone from a soap is in my close circle of friends. I also had a member of a big 90's band babysit me when I was younger.

When I was growing up I lived next door to a retired referee (he did the equivalant of the premiership) him and his wife were lovely and always brought us a souvenir back from their hols. He died about 7/8 years ago. Lovely lovely man.

A boxer from the North, more of a friend of a friend. A bit dopey and seemed intimidated by my tall husband which was weird. Seemed nice enough though. Also met his parents at an event, they were clearly loving the limelight way more than their son.
Know a couple of people who've been on first dates and that's about it.

I can name drop because it's so far removed, and my best mate is not on Mn., and all the people, except best friend are dead now.

She lived next door to Roger Moore & Dorothy Squires. They used to pop over for before dinner G & T's at times. We've poured over the photographs. It's sad really.

a former Beatle' - a narrow field! Two definites there, can't remember whether Pete Best is still alive.

It’s one of the 2 surviving of the big 4.

In the last few weeks I’ve met a couple of people who were school friends with Emma Willis. She is apparently really lovely and down to earth and haven’t heard a bad word about her.
My husband saw her once years ago before she was really famous and said she is absolutely stunning.

I'm really scraping the bottom of the barrel here... a boy who I was "frenemies" with in primary school was the grandson of a famous TV chef.

Which reminds me that another famous TV chef used to live on my close - not while I've been living here though!

I think the closest I can get is that my grandmother was mayor of the town I still live in, and met a few prominent members of the royal family, as well as other celebrities. V. jealous of the rest of you!

autumndreaming · 22/09/2018 12:53

There's always one Hmm It's a bit of fun @multivac!!

I know a few artists who have done very well for themselves. They aren't 'famous', but well known in their field.
