Does anyone else’s Sky TV do this?

I record a program, watch if half way through, then if I go back to watch it the next day or whenever and it’s been automatically deleted.

Nooooo....

ShatnersBassoon · 21/09/2018 19:04

Nope, never.

No. If you just stop it, or change channel it should be there.

How much space is on your box? If it records something else and doesn't have enough space it will delete anything 'viewed' to make space. Anything you have part watched is consider 'viewed. Could this be happening??

I’ve had that happen occasionally for no obvious reason. It is sooo frustrating. There’s been enough storage on the Sky box so I’ve then quizzed everyone to find out if they’ve deleted said programme but no-one has any clue what I’m going on about!!

When this happens, I usually find it was dh doing some skybox “tidying up”. It should still be in your deleted bit though.

kezzy13 · 21/09/2018 20:33

Yes mine used to but infuriatingly I can't remember what exh did to fix it so that doesn't really help!

myheartsjourney · 22/09/2018 00:53

I have loads of storage and I live alone so no one to delete anything.

It’s so frustrating

I think that some programmmes have a limited time to watch them, maybe 14 or 28 days, maybe longer for some programmes. It may not be all channels, I’ve got a feeling it may be the BBC, someone on here was watching a drama that had 6 or 8 episodes (set in Wales, husband went missing) she watched a few but then went to watch the last one or two and they’d disappeared. It might be because a lot of BBC shows go to video after screening and they don’t want you keeping the recorded versions to watch later.

Mine does!
