Is there any Mums out there who pay child maintenance to their ex partner?
My son who is almost 18 seems to pick and chose when he stays with me even though he has a bedroom at my house. Due to this, my ex husband has contacted the Child Maintenance Service and claims I don’t have my son as much as I should therefore he wants more money off me plus back pay!!
I’ve phoned the CMS to explain the situation that it’s not actually my fault that he doesn’t come to me and I shouldn’t be penalised. I’m on just over the minimum wage and have had to reduce my working hours due to on going health reasons following chemotherapy.
What makes my blood boil is that my ex husband obviously doesn’t actually need the money as he has just returned from a 2 week holiday to New York! I haven’t had a holiday for the last couple of years as I simply can’t afford it.
