Induction

Hi, I’m 40+3 and had two sweeps that have both been unsuccessful even though I am now 3cm dilated and my cervix is short. At my next appointment they’ve said I will need to make a date for an induction.
Does anyone have any positive experiences with induction? I would love to know to try and ease my nerves.
Thanks

My induction was fine,

pessary 9pm, another at 3am, still nothing so DP and I went for a walk at 9am under the advise if my water hadn't broken by 11 they'd be broken for me - they did break themselves on the walk (was advised to keep active as more likely to help it work naturally)

Moved into a delivery room and hooked up to monitor which was annoying, but nothing too bad, and was ok enough on gas and air for a few hours to watch a movie on the Ipad with DP.

by about 3pm pain was getting quite substantial, was given a mephid injection which made me a little woozy but nothing too major, could still feel contractions but not painful, more just cramping. Was 10cm dilated by 10pm but by 11pm Dr realised DS was stuck so prepped for C Section, taken into theater and given spinal, Dr said will try forceps delivery, it worked - DS arrived 1am. Long and tiring day, but I went in quite optimistic and with no worries about pain relief etc so have no issues wit how it went. I was kept wholly informed throughout and asked questions when I was unaware.

My induction was long, but fine. Went in on 40+14, pessary at 10am. Spent a long time walking around the hospital! Period style cramping pain started in the afternoon, slowly got more uncomfortable (the bath they insisted I try was useless!).
Pain became unmanageable around 2am, and I was moved to a delivery room. Tried TENS, but hated it. Had pethidine, which allowed me to doze off and on until 7am-ish. Baby girl arrived at 10:14am, just on gas & air (and moaning and sweating!). Placenta was delivered naturally (I didn't need the injection) around 10:45am.

Hoping I will be going into labour naturally this time, but if I have to be induced again, so be it. Just, hopefully before I reach 42 weeks!
