Primary school place applications

Will schools know which we've applied to and in what order?

My husband and I do freelance work in a number of local primary schools and are all expecting that we'll apply to their school. We obviously have a preference, but don't want anyone to be offended that they didn't make the list and it to be awkward when we go in for work.

So does anyone know, will they know or do they just get a list of who they've been allocated?

Thank you!

I doubt it. From what I've heard, it's all basically allocated and worked out by a computer program.

If it's a voluntary aided school or an academy then they rank the children who have applied in order. They there send this to the council. They won't know what preference order you put them in.
