Got two friends coming over on Sat I have so much work, studying and housework to do - as well as ferrying teenager around to various activities that day and dog to walk that I am not going to be able to cook
What shall I give them to eat - don't want to just do pizza.... any ideas please?

Get a takeaway? Indian or similar.

Slow cooker chilli and rice / salad / bread maybe some salsa tortilla chips and guacamole, all easily bought or made ahead of time.

Fajitas

Or cancel

Thanks for your ideas - I don't want to cancel because I really need to see them and have a good laugh! One of them is a bit fussy and doesn't seem to like anything spicy I've ever cooked before so I think I might go down the cold meat/salmon and salads with nice bread and cheese and dips and things route... and just buy the whole lot plus lots of wine and prosecco of course!

M and S Food have lots of good prepared stuff to buy.

Stir fry. You can buy it ready and prepped just stick in a Wok and add prawn crackers

Thanks everyone - they came last night and I bought some bits and bobs from our lovely big Morrisons in the end - and made a pudding.Fussy friend wouldn't eat certain things she didn't like the "look" of as far as I could tell. So I am not going to worry about her in future as I have tried to please her several times foodwise and everything I make is always wrong in some way. Don't get me wrong - she's great friend but she is just so bloody fussy!!
