Tell me what razor you use

Since having my DD and hitting my thirties I have found that frankly I'm getting hairier.

I'm on a budget, and razors are so sodding expensive. Plus between work and caring for two beloved invalids (their words not mine) I don't have shed loads of time to go get waxed. Home waxing goes patchy (and I'm not brave enough to do anything other than my legs) and I tried an epilator. Lasted about 10 minutes before having the urge to throw it out the window.

So it has to be razors.

I've seen a we shave subscription boxes around, has anyone tried these? If not what brand do you buy?

If you’re up for cheapy disposables I got a pack of ten in Tesco for £1 (might have been £2) this week which I was suprised by.

Lidl mens 5 blade razors are very good. Men’s razors are always cheaper than woman’s too.

Buy men's ones, they're not pink but they shave!

Queenofthedrivensnow · 20/09/2018 22:03

Yep signing in to say Lidl 5 blade. I shave with hard soap these razors are really really good

Shelvesoutofbooks · 20/09/2018 22:04

I LOVE the blue razors in poundland. Best shave I ever had, and before these all I used was pricey men's ones. But these are great, and they're 2 in a pack for £1 :)

sazzle27 · 20/09/2018 22:05

Another vote for lidl's 5 blade mens razors!

OurMiracle1106 · 20/09/2018 22:07

I use a mach 3. Don’t care it’s mens. I object to paying VAT on women’s razors when you don’t on men’s! Same thing as well and get a better shave IMO.

FrankieStein · 20/09/2018 22:08

I obviously need to get myself to Lidl! (Our "local" store isn't really local but it's do-able

Don't give a stuff about the colour, long as it does the job!

Thanks for the replies I'll be checking it out over the weekend!

Another one with a mach 3. Definitely mens razors regardless though. So much better than women's. Closer shave without all the faff they insist on putting around the blades.

Did not know about the VAT discrepancy! Is that true?! Outrageous. Men don't "need" to shave any more than women do!

combatbarbie · 20/09/2018 22:43

Mach 3 all the way here....Always have done, def get a closer shave with a man's one

sophisticatedsarcasm · 20/09/2018 22:54

I use Gillette swirl.

HildaZelda · 20/09/2018 23:38

I use a mach 3 as well but the blades are gone so bloody expensive now! I picked up a 4 pack of disposables recently in Aldi. They're pretty good and I think about £2.
