I'm fed up of feeling shit, tired, dizzy, lightheaded etc. I've been to the GP and they said they can't do anything for low BP, is this true? I'm 24, will I feel like this forever Sad? I've just checked it at work and this is what it currently is:

I have similar BP readings and often feel dizzy and grumpy. GP was no help at all. Best thing for me is to eat something every two hours or so. I have also started adding salt to food which does help slightly.

Try and speak to another GP and ask if something such as fludricortisone would help. My mother was on it for years to increase her blood pressure as it was dangerously low. Also get your iron levels checked to make sure you aren’t anaemia as well as having the low blood pressure

Yes I'm dizzy and grumpy!! I already eat regularly otherwise I get headaches and feel sick. And I salt everything as it is Grin.

Okay thanks, interesting you say that as last time I went to give blood I couldn't donate as I had low iron but wasn't anaemic.

I've had low BP my whole life, I too and a major snaker, crisps crackers, I don't monitor salt as it makes me feel better.
I am anaemic and am on iron long term.

One thing I found that helped was drinking lots of water and dioralye. I know that sounds wierd but it really helped me. However, recently they've changed the recipe and I'm finding it less helpful. You can make your own by doing a Google search for rehydration solution. I carry a small bottle with me. I've got diabetes and high blood pressure as well (yes I know it's wierd - I've autonomic dysfunction is why) so need to be careful.

There are meds you can take to raise it but they can have nasty side effects and cause high blood pressure - when I took them I was admitted to hospital for several days because my blood pressure went dangerously high. I had been given a 24 hour monitor but it couldn't cope with the swings in my blood pressure between very high and very low and stopped working. But if it stays low a lot and especially if you get other symptoms like fainting (which I do) there are meds available but like I said they need to be taken with care and i don't know if they're available on prescription generally mine were from a specialist and not in the BNF.

I was at the GP this afternoon, if I can give you some of my high BP I would. I am now booked for a 24 hour monitor. Flowers

@Becca19962014 autonomic dysfunction here too
