While talking about the Salisbury poisoning. I rewound it and I'm not imagining it. Hope he's not unwell [worried]

You think he's been poisoned? Confused

BrokenFlipflop · 19/09/2018 22:29

Oh no. I didn't see it but I think he's fab. I hope he's ok.

marvellousnightforamooncup · 19/09/2018 22:29

I missed that.

Blankiefan · 19/09/2018 22:30

I totally noticed this. Weird.

Justgivemeasoddingname · 19/09/2018 22:40

Oh Oliphant no!! I immedately thought Parkinsons.
I really like him too, Brokenflipflop. I live close to the film set of a Billy Connolly film and know lots of people involved- extras etc. The chat at the time was that he really wasn't well, and then within a year announced that he has Parkinson's. It's just so sad.
Glad it wasn't just me then Blankiefan. Dh is away so I've no-one to chat with!

Sorry for the misunderstanding Blush

I think he's quite 'fit' isn't he? In the health sense. Been talking a lot about exercise regimes etc

PomBearWithoutHerOFRS · 19/09/2018 22:44

I had the same thoughts about Richard Osman when he hosted HIGNFY. I've never seen it again though, so hopefully it's some trick of the camera or something that just happens sometimes.

TokyoSushi · 19/09/2018 22:48

He seemed a bit dodgy at the start and they didn't block out him coughing while they were doing the headlines. Hopefully he's just a but under the weather.

MrsMoastyToasty · 19/09/2018 22:51

I noticed it too.

Waddsup12 · 19/09/2018 22:52

I said to DH he was looking ill.

PiperPublickOccurrences · 19/09/2018 22:56

Yes I noticed that he appeared unwell at the start. Probably just got a cold or something.

Justgivemeasoddingname · 19/09/2018 22:58

But wobbling? Actual head wobbling?
Ach well we'll soon find out if so.....

It´s the first time I have seen him in two years and I was shocked at how old he looked. I was sorry to see it as I really like him.

I also noticed the wobbling.

Ginxed · 19/09/2018 23:17

I notced it too and thought Parkinsons. I really hope we’re all wrong.

Inertia · 19/09/2018 23:18

In Richard Osman’s case, I believe he has an eye condition which became more apparent to viewers when he was facing directly into a camera and trying to read the autocue.

princesstiasmum · 19/09/2018 23:21

I believe he has Huntingdons disease, look on youtube

MsOliphant · 19/09/2018 23:24

That's a report on a breakthrough in Huntingdon's disease.

That doesn't mean he has it Confused

princesstiasmum · 19/09/2018 23:30

Oh, must have read it wrong, there was something about him going silent on the news, sorry if i got it wrong

Member · 19/09/2018 23:30

He does seem to be trying to suppress coughing by swallowing a lot on a number of occasions but his weight loss has been attributed to boxing training.

I missed any wobble and hope it’s nothing.

Member · 19/09/2018 23:35

Meant to say boxing training is favoured by those with Parkinson’s to fight the loss of some function

Oddcat · 19/09/2018 23:48

I've just watched it and noticed the wobble. It looked a bit like he was bouncing up and down .

eeekwtf · 19/09/2018 23:55

Richard Osmond has Nystagmus. It's a visual impairment.

eeekwtf · 19/09/2018 23:56

I.e RO wasn't reading the auto-cue, because he can't. His eyes just move rapidly and uncontrollably all the time.

notapizzaeater · 20/09/2018 00:02

Really hope he's ok

ARiverInEgypt · 20/09/2018 00:03

Yes Richard Osman is significantly visually impaired. When he’s on “his own” programmes then the autocue and sightlines will be set up to suit him if necessary but when he’s reading off an autocue on someone else’s standard set then it becomes noticeable.
