Beef for casseroles and chicken from Aldi. Pork from Tesco when its on offer then i halve the joint and freeze.
Chicken breasts from local butcher as i get 20 for £20 and they are huge!

Costco is good. The stores are all the same.

So far I've had chicken thighs, chicken breasts and mince from there and it's become my preferred place to stock up on those - although my local butcher is also brilliant.

I will never buy Tesco chicken again. Even before the scandal around their supplier fraudulently changing use by dates, I noticed that their chicken would often smell bad before the use-by dates. I haven't had the same problem with other supermarkets.

Farmers' market or Ocado.

I bulk buy and freeze, either from the market (cheaper) or when Ocado have offers or flash sales. Our freezer is 90% meat.

I happily buy cheap cuts, but never cheap meat.

Either Aldi or the local butchers. The fillet steaks from Aldi are fantastic.

Local butcher is most excellent, and I love a farm shop where possible

In theory: Local farm shops, butchers & farmers’ markets.

In practice : We do shop at those places sometimes, but we both work full time and have loads of stuff to do on Saturdays, so making a special trip isn’t always an option therefore we buy meat from supermarkets which are open at times convenient to us.
