I am so embarrassed and can never go to the park again

Name changed.

So today I took my pup to the park. She is only 12 weeks old and is very excited to meet people. And a girl. That's important

I was walking through the parks gardens and a man with a grown rottie is walking towards me.

He is gorgeous Shock Just my type. Built like Chris Hemsworth but dark hair and tattoos. I am just a frumpy mum and it's been a long while since I've talked to anyone hot so I sort of avoided eye contact as I have anxiety and he was really lovely (have 0 confidence)

So I'm trying to style out walking passed him without tripping when Ddog starts to jump at his dog. So he says 'aww hello little one' to Ddog.

I have to stop.

I can feel myself blushing already (sad, I know)
He introduces his dog and nods towards Ddog and asks what his name is.
His

I couldn't think. His question just stuck in my brain. HIS. I blurted out ....'Max' Hmm

He starts with all the usual questions. How old is HE. Is HE good.

I'm replying 'Yes HE is. He's very good

I'm in too far. I can't correct myself.
I'm trying to make excuses. We start to part ways....and Ddog....what does she do? Rolls on her back for a belly rub.

He strokes her belly as a parting goodbye...

"Oh"
Me "well I better go"
Him "....do you know she's a girl?"

I was on fire. Sweating.

I had to PRETEND I'D SPENT 4 WEEKS NOT KNOWING THE SEX OF MY DOG. I had to act surprised.

He must have thought I escaped from somewhere.
Stole the dog?

I don't know what he was thinking but he looked like he wanted to get away even faster than I did Blush

So. I can never go to the park again

Great.

Pahah. Oh op. That has cheered me right up. But no, you may never return. Or perhaps this will be one of those romantic stories of how you got together with fitty from the park. He will just be entranced by your dorkiness and will hunt you down to marry you.

Witchofzog · 19/09/2018 19:37

Hahaha this is brilliant. He must think you know nothing about willies Grin

Ratbagcatbag · 19/09/2018 19:39

I proper laughed at that.
But, I can see how you'd get into that situation. I'd move house. HTH.

Oh my God, I am dying laughing at that.
It’s so awkward British-ness it’s unreal.

DollyWilde · 19/09/2018 19:41

ThanksHunkyJesus · 19/09/2018 19:41

Bloody dog showing you up Grin

BeeFarseer · 19/09/2018 19:42

Oh yes. I have done similar. I feel your pain.

KoalaKubes · 19/09/2018 19:43

My cheeks are on fire just reliving it.

She has quite long fur round her backside so we would have gotten away with it if she hadn't have rolled Hmm

We self banned ourself from the dog park as my dog kept peeing on this one particular pug Blush He would make a beeline for this one dog the minute they got off lead.

thisismadness77 · 19/09/2018 20:03

MoodyMumOfOne · 19/09/2018 20:05

Ha ha that's so funny! Love it! 🐩🐕

MellyPapa · 19/09/2018 20:05

Love this! Dogs (and bitches!) know just exactly the most inappropriate thing to do and when Grin

Pinky333777 · 19/09/2018 20:08

I'd have told him the dog hasn't decided which gender they'd prefer to be referred to as yet so we use both.

youarenotkiddingme · 19/09/2018 20:10

😂😂😂😂😂😂

So much for dogs being faithful friends!

didyouseetheflaresinthesky · 19/09/2018 20:11

I'd have said it was short for Maxine. Kids named her and she was answering to it by the time you convinced your youngest she was a girl.

AliceBanned · 19/09/2018 20:15

That is priceless! Grin He probably thinks you're barking Wink
