Fed up of feeling skint - anyone in the same boat?

Because I fed as though it’s just me. Spend all my money clearing debts. I feel so pleased each and every time I clear and close an account. But I never feel any better off for it financially. All my money seems to go on debt, fuel and food it’s depressing!
Everyone else always seems to be off on holidays, out having fun at weekends, going to nice restaurants or shopping. It’s not everyone though.. is it?

I was just thinking the same last night, it’s depressing, my debts are going down, but I’m still looking at another 3 years before I’m debt free.

Wasn't long ago, we were in the same boat and it's hard not to be bitter sometimes, when you see others living and enjoying life with their disposable income. You really do feel like the only one, but you know you're not.

What you need to remember is, where as you might not feel better off for clearing a debt, you will be in the end. It can be a long, crappy process, but you will get there.

Remember all those other people going on holidays and ‘living’ may actually be teetering on the edge of financial crisis...it does feel shit but one day the debt will be cleared, feel proud for addressing and paying it.

Been trying to clear it for over 7 years.. still 3 to go
