My youngest started school this year and I'd like to go back to work.
Except it seems there's so many barriers to this. Cost of courses/retraining, suitable hours, confidence etc
I've been low and teary today because I feel I have skills to offer the world but who wants a woman over 40 who has been out of the workplace for nearly a decade?
I worked in the NHS previously and recently I've got into fitness in a big way so I thought I could combine my people skills with this and looked into personal training/gym instruction. But the courses are costly and time consuming. Kids still need pre and post school care and what money will pay for all this while I spend two years just training with no pay

I tried writing novels as I love reading and writing and did courses. But the publishing industry is very hard, seemingly impossible.
Sorry to be a moan, I'm normally positive.
